This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally identifiable information' (PII) is being used online. PII, as used in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our website.
When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other details to help you with your experience.
We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form or enter information on our site
We may use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:
If you enter your email address on our quote form and do not complete it, we may send you up to two emails over the next two days with a link to resume your quote. Before the first email, we may send your email address to an email verification service to check that it can receive mail, and we don't email addresses it reports as invalid. We delete this information no more than 30 days after our last email to you. These emails contain a small image and a resume link that is unique to you, so we can tell whether and when an email was opened or its link was used, the kind of email app that opened it, the network it was opened from, and the approximate location of the device (country, state and city), which is estimated from its internet connection. We remove the location and device details about 30 days after we send each email. After that we keep only when the email was opened or its link was used and the kind of email app, which we use to measure how our emails perform. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also contact privacy@quickmedigap.com. If you unsubscribe, or if your address bounces or can't receive mail, we keep it on a do-not-email list so we don't email it again. That list covers reminder emails from both QuickMedigap and CompareMedicare.
When you request quotes on our site, we may confirm that the phone number you enter belongs to you by sending it a one-time verification code. The code is usually sent by text message. If your number cannot receive text messages (for example, a landline), or a text message cannot be delivered, the code may instead be delivered by an automated voice call that reads the code aloud. Where the option is offered, you may also ask to receive the code by automated call. Verification codes are sent only to U.S. and Canadian phone numbers.
Verification texts and calls are sent only to confirm your phone number. They contain your code and are not marketing messages. Message and data rates may apply. Whether you may be contacted for marketing purposes is governed separately by the consent, if any, that you provide on our forms.
To send and check verification codes we use third-party communications service providers, which process your phone number and related technical information (such as delivery status) on our behalf to deliver and verify the code and to help prevent fraud and abuse. If you have questions about verification messages, you may contact us using the information below.
We do not use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards. We do not use Malware Scanning.

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law's reach stretches well beyond California to require a person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates websites collecting personally identifiable information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals with whom it is being shared, and to comply with this policy.
Users can visit our site anonymously Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our home page, or as a minimum on the first significant page after entering our website. Our Privacy Policy link includes the word 'Privacy', and can be easily be found on the page specified above.
